Hello Mr Tortoise

This weekend has by far been the most emotional and overwhelming I have experienced in a long time! After having to painfully make a quick decision to come home on Friday night, me and my family spent a nice day together yesterday as it would have been my mum's birthday (happy birthday mummy!!) I also got a quick chance to see some friends and catch up!!
Unfortunately, Mr Tortoise does not belong to me!! He is my friend's new addition to the family!! It's really hard to see its size in these pictures, but can you believe it, little tortoise is no bigger than a 50p coin!!
This week, I have quite a bit planned. My challenge for this week is to overcome my fear of knitting patterns and their infinite amount of abbreviations! I have already started knitting a cabled head band (which I absolutely can't wait to show you! My mum would be very proud!) I will also show you (or at least try to) how to make one yourself!!
I'm also hoping the wind and rain will stop here in north Wales so I can go out and take some photographs and go places I didn't get a chance to last time!

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend, and thank you for all the lovely comments yesterday.

  1. SO CUTE! My bestie has a tortoise called Florence, and her dad often gets the tortoise and me mixed up... "Have you fed Tilda yet?" "Er...dad?"

Good luck with the knitting patterns! They terrify me too! I just find 'beginners' guides online that don't have any scary abbreviations (and/or just knit scarves...) x

It sounds like a very emotional time for you, I've lost a parent too. It's very hard, these experiences are what shape us and make us who we are, and you're lovely and your Mum would be proud! :) xx
