A Late Weekly Roundup

Bobble hat
This week, I've really been obsessing over Innocent Smoothies and their Big Knit campaign! I think the idea is absolutely adorable and the money goes to such a good cause. Unfortunately, I've been hunting at local Boots stores and haven't managed to get my own Innocent bottle with a cute little hat.....! Truly gutted!! After spending hours upon hours looking at other blog posts, Innocent's own website and google images, I am literally obsessed with these little things!!
Anyway.....Me being me, I decided to pick up some knitting needles and got knitting!! My mum had endless amounts of wool at our house, and now my bed is literally covered in wool!! I came up with this little cutie of an Innocent hat/egg cosy/whatever you want to call it!! I'm going to make some and give as Christmas presents for my lovely ladies, along with a cute vintage egg cup and hand made egg candles!
What do you think of this idea??

Christmas Shopping
I only started on my Christmas shopping last Saturday. Shameful, I know.....My aim however, was to get most of my Christmas shopping sorted this last weekend, I really don't want a repeat of last year....!
Last year was in fact a bit of a nightmare. Our November here in north Wales had been extremely cold, to the point where we saw snow earlier than usual! At the beginning of December, I was in fact literally snowed in, it cleared for about a week or so, then returned heavily! My boyfriend's mum and sister had to fetch me in their Landrover on Christmas day in order to be able to spend time with them! (And of course I had been stuck at home watching the Doctor Who box set with my dad for weeks on end, and couldn't go out to buy them their Christmas gifts.....Very sad times indeed!)
This year has been extremely odd, our November has been much much warmer. No cold mornings de-icing the car or signs of snow up on the mountains!!

I managed to pick quite a few things up from Oxfam on Saturday. I always love Oxfam because they sell cute fairtrade stuff! I bought some recycled paper notebooks, cute leather money boxes and yummy smelling incense sticks!!

The BF
The BF making a little appearance there!! I do miss him very much. As you all know, I'm back home working at the moment due to some hard financial times + Christmas coming up. some extra pennies were definitely needed!! (Although this week has been turned upside down and I've had to take 3 days off work...All will be explained later on in this post!)
We often spend lots of time on Skype, this is him doing the 'full moon, half moon, total eclipse' from the Jaffa Cakes advert using a giant Jaffies box I bought him which was ahem meant to be an Xmas pressie!!

Spatone
I've been struggling with anaemia for quite some time now. I was a very strict vegetarian until fairly recently when my iron levels became extremely low. My doctor had supplied me with an iron oral solution (very disgusting indeed.....!)
I've been looking for an alternative solution to awful tasting medicine and hard to swallow iron tablets. I came across SpaTone, which are little individual sachets of water enriched in iron sulphate. Like any other iron supplement, they have an extremely metallic taste and best taken with a glass of fruit juice to dilute.
I will be posting a review on these soon. I only received them on Friday, so I won't be posting about them for another week or two! But for anyone who's been curious about this product, keep your eyes peeled!!

Liverpool
On Sunday, my dad and brother went to see the football game, and so I tagged along in order to get most of my Christmas shopping sorted!! I was so amazed by their Christmas displays this year! Especially the giant reindeer! So incredibly cute + you could even walk under it!
They also had oversized 'paper chain' decorations running through the indoor section of Liverpool One!
If you're planning on visiting Liverpool fairly soon, they have their Christmas Market on too!! They have a cute little merry-go-round and helter skelter along with some cute food stalls just outside Liverpool One opposite the restaurants too!
In other news- On the way home from Liverpool, me and my brother ate some dodgy food and suffered some extreme food poisoning yesterday. So unfortunately, everything has had to be put on hold! Including listing some work up on here if you'd like to buy a few things as Christmas pressies!! (I'm off sick from work for two more days....)
Apologies to those I have promised I would knit you some headbands too!! They will be knitted and on the way as soon as possible!!

I hope you've had a lovely weekend!

Eighty Six

Literally ever since I came back home, I feel like I haven't had two minutes to myself!! I've been working extremely hard all week and it's slowly starting to get to me....!! I thought I would write a quick little blog post because my blog has been neglected, seriously sad times indeed...!

What I'm wearing...
I've been really into my faux fur these past few months. Especially with December quickly creeping up, I think it's perfect! I've been teaming it up with lots of black! I am literally obsessed with black, but I like to mix it up so it's not too drab!
Black jumper dresses, shirts, blouses, leather biker jackets...You name it!
Here, I'm wearing my H&M faux fur stole along with my H&M black blouse + River Island denim shorts + hold ups from Debenhams! (I bought them for Halloween last year but never wore them!!)

Favourite perfumes...
I have three perfumes I wear all the time at the moment. Those three are:
Dolly Girl by Ana Sui
L'eau D'issey Summer by Issey Miyake
Amor Amor by Cacharel
They all have a slightly fruity fragrance and those generally are the type I go for. I'm really hoping for some lovely perfumes off Santa for Christmas. I've ran out of Ralph by Ralph Lauren which is one of my faves!! I also love Nina by Nina Ricci! So sweet and has a gorgeous bottles! Don't you just love it when perfumes have cute bottles too?! They look great on my chest of drawers!

What I love to look at...
The cafe I work at is basically at the beach pictured above. This is Dinas Dinlle, around 15 minutes drive from Caernarfon in north Wales.
I really love this beach. It's a place I can always drive to in order to feel relaxed, take a friend for a long walk and chat... I just really love the place. There are certain bonuses to be working there. I love looking out of the window at work to see the sun beautifully setting over the sea. The beach however is beautiful no matter what. Even if it's pouring down with rain, I still remain in love with the place!

What I'm eating...
That sounds silly as I make it seem like I eat pizza each day! Ha! My brother and I ordered Domino's pizza online on Tuesday evening after a long day at work for myself, and a long day for him doing his Chemistry PHD! My eating habits have become rather strange since I don't really get a chance to eat much during the day. I get up at 6am and can't really face food at that time....And since I'm working hard all day I don't get a minute to sit down and eat!
Over the weekend I'm going to buy lots of fruits because I have a slightly neglected smoothie maker sitting in the kitchen that needs some love!! I absolutely love making my own smoothies! I used to be obsessed with making them over the summer. Look out for some recipes up here soon!!

Keeping warm by...
This photo makes me laugh because of the wonky thumb! Ha!! I love winter because I love to keep myself warm with many layers of clothing and accessories! (My boyfriend would tell you all about it)
These cute mittens on a cord were a recent purchase from Peacocks. (I never really shop there, but when I saw these, I just had to have them + they were the only pair left!)
When it comes to bedtime, I am known for sleeping in many many layers + I love to wear thick socks for bed!! I can't wait to start using my hot water bottle again, which will come out very soon I'm sure!

What I'd like to be doing...
Instead of working non stop, I'd love to be spending some quality 'me' time, get started on some Christmas shopping, and also crafting!
I really do miss it. I haven't done anything creative probably in the last week (it sounds terrible, but I literally haven't had the time)
I have promised a few of you that I would post pics of some items up for sale on here soon, so I'm hoping to get that done over the weekend!! So if anyone is interested in buying some hand made goodies this Christmas, keep your eyes peeled!

I hope you're all having a less stressful week than I am!
I'm also trying to reach the 200 followers mark very soon in order to host another blog giveaway!

Hope you're all ok!!

Back To Black

Oh this past week has been so hectic! In fact this time last week I was still at the flat with my bf. Since then I have:
packed up all my belongings
drove back home
got back to work
been seriously lacking some sleep
went out with some friends
seen Breaking Dawn (omg eye candy)
have an incredibly long week of work ahead of me....

So yeah, that really sums up my week. Pretty hectic if you ask me!! I literally haven't had a minute to myself! I've constantly been doing something!
So anyway, on Saturday afternoon i popped to town with my dad and had a look in my local H&M store! I always love H&M for some cute bargains or some going out clothes.
I got a heart print blouse which is shown in the photographs above! It's super cute and I love the fact it has a zip at the back!
This is actually the outfit I wore last night to go and see Breaking Dawn! I already want to see that film again... I came home rather undecided about it actually. But in all fairness, it's a great film and the eye candy = amazing!
If you didn't know, I'm a really big Robert Pattinson fan....! My hopes for next year is to go to the London premiere! You only live once! Ha...!
So, who's coming with me?!!

So anyway, I'll list my clothes on here if you'd like to know where some of the items are from:

Black blazer jacket : New Look
Heart print blouse : H&M
Black skinny jeans : Charity shop (Topshop)
Snood scarf : Primark

Denim jeans : River Island
Tan leather belt : Primark

Horse print satchel : Primark

So, hows your Monday going so far? I got to finish work early since the cafe was really quiet. To be fair, who goes to a cafe at the beach this time of year?! I'm working enough this week as it is. No days off due to the fact I'm covering someone who called in sick....Boo!!
Having said that, I am looking forward to the extra pennies just before Christmas!!
We've put the Christmas tree up at work, I'm going to take a pic of it tomorrow to show you! It's so cute!
I literally can't believe it's almost Christmas already.....Where on earth has summer gone? September....October?! They've flown by!! It's insane!

Enough of my jibber jabber!

Weekly Roundup

001
I haven't really been up to anything 'extremely' interesting this week... My week has mainly consisted of working and feeling extremely tired! I'm not used to this getting up early business! For work, I have to get up around 6am in order to shower, get dressed and be at work by 8! This week, luckily I only have two early mornings. Otherwise I'm not in until 12! It's been hard to go places and take some piccies because by the time I get home, it's starting to get fairly dark. So instead, this last week I have been taking some photographs of what I have been wearing! This outfit in particular was something I threw on after work one night.
The jumper is a recent H&M purchase! The dress is also H&M but I got it absolutely years ago! And of course the stole is from H&M too! I only just noticed all of what I'm wearing came from there! Ha!
I find H&M can be rather annoying at times. I was there yesterday and saw these gorgeous leather look leggings for only £10, however they only had one and it was a size 6... It was just randomly placed between two black dresses and they had no more in stock....! Grrr...

002
This is a photograph of Dinas Dinlle, and I am extremely lucky to be working at a cafe there. I think it's one of those places I love to go to when I'm feeling down, or need some time to reflect on things.
Recently, I've been downloading nature sounds in order to relax myself. I find it works extremely well for me!

003
Cheering myself up with some glitter nail polish by Models Own! Especially when work gets a bit much I like to look down at my nails and go 'awww nice!!!' Ha that sounds silly but it works!
I'm looking to buy some de-stress oil to use on my wrists and neck. I've also seen some to use in oil burners, and since I'm a huge fan of them (I probably have five or six around my bedroom) I'm thinking why not! I might pop up a review if I decide to buy some!!

004
This was me earlier today before going to the cinema to watch.......wait for it.........Breaking Dawn!!! Now, I'm sure many of you have been to see it! But for those of you who haven't, I won't spoil anything!  It was rather odd for me personally, although I did really like it. I've read the books and really loved them and obsessed over them for absolutely ages. Definitely a must see film! I just want to see the next one now.....! I will be sad when it's all over though... It's like when Harry Potter ended :( sad times!
I wore my new H&M heart print blouse (need to take a pic of this and put it up here!!)
A New Look black blazer I bought absolutely ages ago!
Skinny jeans from River Island
Snood from Primark
and last but not least, my cute horse print satchel bag also from Primark!!

005
We stopped at Pizza Hut before the film. In fact, we were meant to see an earlier showing, but it was fully booked! So instead, we went to Pizza Hut to waste some time before a later showing. We decided to share a half and half pizza with stuffed crust. Even though I only had a few slices, I feel like I am done for the entire week now!!! No more food needed for a long time.

006
I've been loving this combo lately! I bought these Topshop skinny jeans from a charity shop for £2! The jumper is from Motel and the fur collar was from H&M I think absolutely ages ago!!

Anyway, that's me done! Sorry for the slightly boring blog post! I'm aiming to do lots more interesting things over next week despite the fact I'm working quite a lot!!
I hope you've all had a lovely week + weekend! If you've seen Breaking Dawn, what did you think of it?? I'd love to know!!!
Robert Pattinson = seriously yummy...!

Fiona Says Relax...

I often find myself worrying over the smallest of things. In fact, I always find out that worrying gets me no where. It is just a mere human reaction to certain situations...
I am currently trying to help myself out by discovering methods of relaxation and experiment with different techniques and products.

These are just a few things I like to do in order to relax or just to pick myself up....

001
I have recently been listening to soothing nature sounds via YouTube and have even downloaded a few. Some sites offer free downloads so you can pop them on your ipod/itunes/cd! In fact, just about anywhere! I find them better to listen to through headphones as you can close your eyes and truly relax as opposed to listening to it whilst being able to hear other noises too! Since I really love spending my time at the beach, many sounds I've downloaded are water based (river, ocean waves, rain) One of my favourites is this one here.
Whenever I find myself worrying over something, or when I start to worry, I simply put this on, close my eyes and relax.....!

002
Develop a positive mental attitude. Shift your view on life so that you find stressing or worrying a waste of time. I spend 99% of my time worrying over things. I'm generally an over thinker. I think things through way too much for my own good.
The more I actually think about life itself, it's far too short to be spent worrying. For all the times I've worried, I have gained nothing whatsoever.

003
Make sure you surround yourself with the things you like. You'd be surprised how much happier it can make you. As you all know, I love to spend my time baking. In fact I get something out of it, it makes me really happy inside. The eating part, I usually leave my Dad to that!
I try and bake a few times a week if possible. Try and dedicate some time to the things you love. It could be anything. Watch one of your favourite movies, knit, take some photographs, bake.... Spend time doing the things you love!!

004
Often, to cheer myself up, I paint my nails! I love creating cute designs so whenever I look at my hands, it makes me smile! Currently I am loving sparkly nails (and since my nail art pen has clogged up) this is one of the only options I have available at the moment!! Whenever I'm at work, I simply look down at my sparkly nails and smile! I also get loads of compliments on my nails (it's as if people from north Wales have never seen nail polish in their lives!!) But that also makes me smile too!!
(I have on my nails at the moment- Lilac from Barry M with Juicy Jules by Models Own)

005
Candles can be extremely soothing.... I am extremely obsessed with candles (so obsessed that I actually make them myself too!) I have about five different oil burners that I use frequently too. Probably the best (or one of my favourite) oil to use is lavender. It's meant to soothe, and I find it works well in the evening just before bedtime! There are many oils to choose from, and I have a million! I also want to invest in a de-stress oil to put in my oil burner (if I do, I'll pop a review up to let you know if it works or not!)
Making sure you absorb the fragrance is extremely important since it forces you to breathe deeply which is extremely good during stressful times. I always force myself to breathe as deep as possible when I'm feeling stressed. The inhale feels fantastic, exhale = not as satisfying....Which makes you inhale deep again!!
(I bought a very large bottle of lavender oil off ebay for around £4 which was a complete bargain, since small bottles cost around £1-£2 and never last long!!!)

006
Anything with a cute, inspirational message is always good. I love this cute pillow from H&M, a perfect way to wake up!! I've also painted some old photo frames with blackboard paint so I can write some cute messages and hang them up on my walls!
Your bedroom or living space is also extremely important. I'm no feng shui expert, but a cozy and relaxing living space can make you feel a thousand times better.
Invest in some good quality scented candles, oil burners and even incense sticks to fill your space with calming fragrances too.

007
A good book is also an extremely fantastic way to get your mind off things. I love finding bargains at local charity shops. In fact, I got my Call Girl book for only a £1 at my local Oxfam! Wondering whether to invest in a kindle or not (or possibly ask sweet little Santa) but I think I would miss the feeling of owning a book, or buying a new book, opening it up and smelling the freshness of the pages....Hmmm!

008
Retail therapy is also extremely good in most situations..... It can make you feel good instantly. Although shopping does have its down sides. For example over spending or extremely busy shops. To avoid these issues, I tend to go shopping early morning to avoid the busyness. I also love bargain hunting at local charity shops. I once bought an entire outfit for £8.50 including skinny Topshop jeans, a cardi, white jumper and a bag!! You'd be surprised what you can find in there!!

Other things I do...

I love to watch something hilariously funny. It often picks my mood right up. Usually I watch Family Guy, Michael Mcintyre or Lee Evans (he's my fave...I find him incredibly funny. Even though I have probably heard all of his jokes by now, they always remain hilarious!)

I love to spend time with my friends or family.

I love having something to look forward to. A birthday, an event, a day out, a shopping trip..... This often helps me get through hard times at work too!

I love wearing my cosiest pyjamas, snuggle up under my duvet with a big hot water bottle, and catch up on some well deserved zzzzzzzzzz's!!

What do you do to pick yourself up? Do you find yourself worrying over the smallest of things?
