A Festive Weekly Roundup

As you may well know, I got a very nasty case of food poisoning last week... Not at all impressed! I had to take many days off work and ended up in bed feeling sorry for myself watching endless amounts of Disney films and drinking plenty of water!! This is a photograph I took of my very festive knitted leggings I wore to cheer myself up!!
If you fancy a pair, they're literally all over the net + ebay too!

I've been wearing my hand knitted headbands a LOT these past few days! The temperature has suddenly dropped here in north Wales to 4-5 degrees during the day and 1-2 at night... I'm pretty sure we'll see lots of ice and possibly snow very soon...! I'm hoping it won't snow until after the 16th please! I'm fetching the bf next week from the flat and bringing him home for an entire month (which I am very excited about! It's been 3 or 4 weeks since I last saw him now...Sad times indeed!)

Yesterday, I went on a lovely day/evening drip with my friend Nicky to Betws Y Coed where we saw some beautiful fireworks followed by a nice warm meal! I am truly gutted I didn't take my camera with me (my battery was completely dead...!) So this afternoon I took my dad on a quick trip towards Betws Y Coed to take some photographs of the snow on top of the mountains. Yes, we were in fact frozen after the walk!!

Last night, we finally put the Christmas tree up! We've had this one for years. In fact, when I was little, I used to think it was the biggest Christmas tree ever.....! Now not so much!!
I love our vintage baubles! These have also been with us an extremely long time, as you can tell! I especially like the little reindeer ones!!

These photographs were indeed taken last year! From perhaps the 10th of December onwards, we were in fact trapped in the snow! It came ever so quickly and got worse and worse until a few days later, we couldn't get out the house!! These are just a few photos I took outside our house.
The icicles formed on our conservatory were absolutely beautiful, along with the pattern created by the frost on my car window (which was in fact buried under deep snow for weeks!)

This is my favourite festive jumper at the moment! I've been searching all over ebay for a new cute Christmassy jumper, but this one will have to do for the time being! I bought it at a charity shop years ago, and love getting it out at this time of year!!

I've been a very good girl and have wrapped most of my Christmas presents too!! In a way, I am fairly excited for Christmas now. It's getting colder, I'm wrapping up in knitted jumpers and big warm boots, spending time in front of the fire watching dvd's and drinking tea, wrapping gifts and thinking of some Christmassy recipes!!

I hope you've all had a really lovely week!
I'm thinking of possibly hosting another blog giveaway soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
