That's Why They Call It The Blues...

I'm not really feeling 'blue'...But it is back to normal from now on, back to work, back to being miles and miles apart from the bf, back to early mornings....Boooo hooooo!!
The magic of Christmas has indeed faded away.
I hope you all had a really lovely Christmas and a fantastic New Year! I haven't had the chance to blog as much as I would have liked to over the holidays, but all will be back to normal very soon.

I have learnt a lot over the past year in fact, and have grown so much since the beginning of 2011! I'm going to list a few...

★ To spend less money on clothes + shoes I never ever wear... (I always always make the same mistake over and over, I buy something without trying it on, or in a mad rush, and never take it back when I find out it looks hideous on!)
★ That I should enjoy my work, no matter what, because I am fortunate to even have one around here!
★ One thing is for sure, I never knew I would have a job where driving is a necessity (I've never been a big fan of driving. I do it to get from A to B, on occasions I can find it pleasant, but it stresses me out way too much for me to find it enjoyable) In fact, I have to drive a van for work, which is even funnier!
★ I have learnt that stressing is such a waste of time. It really gets you no where...
★ I should spend as much time doing the things I enjoy the most as possible. Life is way too short and one day we will no longer be able to do these things.
★ I am not a morning person. Never have been, and probably never will be. Unfortunately I have to get up at 6am for work, and I should ideally fall asleep before 12...
★ I should never dye my hair brown again. I've done it twice before, and have always regretted it. I finally realised in 2011 that dark hair is not for me!
★ I should be more adventurous in 2012. Go out, see new things (but on a budget, since 2012 is already tight penny-wise!)
★ That I should always keep my bedroom tidy. Because I can never find what I'm looking for, and in the mornings I'm always in such a mad rush to get to work. Both of these equal one huge disaster, and a hell of a good start to the morning....Sarcasm intended.

I intend on making 2012 a good year! (At least I hope!)
Next week, I've told myself I'm going to buy a kindle with my left over Christmas money. To save some pennies I'm going to take the train to visit the bf instead of driving (fuel cost = so expensive) So I'm sure a kindle would really be a great investment, and in order to achieve one of my 2012 goals, I really want to read more! Some of the books I'd love to read include:
The Host (I've read half of it, but badly need to finish it)
Water For Elephants
One Day
The Hunger Games
His Dark Materials

Any suggestions??

Have you learnt anything in particular last year?
Hope you're all having a lovely week so far!
