Weekly Roundup

Overall, this week has been a very long and tiring one! In fact, I'm rather disappointed I was unable to do all the things I would have liked to have done, but overall, I think I've done quite well considering I had to fit it all in with work as well!

001
On Monday, I had an unexpected call from work at a very early hour in the morning to ask if I could cover someone, and so my plans for the day had slightly gone out the window, or so I thought. After I finished work, I was determined to go for a walk with my dad to try out our new walking shoes. So we headed towards Bethesda and Cwm Idwal. I'm really glad we had time to go, since we had heavy rain all week otherwise....! Oh, the joys of the weather in north Wales!

On Wednesday, me and my dad went for a little coffee at a local cafe I had always wanted to go to. I was very impressed. My dad had a lovely cup of coffee with a cute little heart shaped biscuit (since it was Santes Dwynwen and all - The Welsh Valentines Day) And I had a freshly made smoothie! Yum yum...!
I think I'm going there again for lunch on Monday so I'll have to take more pics!

003
I made my own smoothie over the weekend. I've always really been into making smoothies, and had invested in a better smoothie maker/ blender a year or so ago.
I love how a smoothie can boost my energy, and it's such a good way to get your five a day easily! I'll be posting my recent recipes up on here soon as well as posting a 'weekend in food photographs' tomorrow hopefully!

004
For the first time in a while, I have found the time to pick up my knitting needles and knit myself some little winter warmers! I had been wanting to knit a little bobble hat for quite some time, and so the stripy little thing you can see in the photograph is an unfinished bobble hat minus the bobble!
I also found a fairly easy mitten pattern online (I've always dreamt of knitting my own mittens but have been putting it aside since I thought it would be too hard or complicated!) But, I did it! Well, I've only knitted one so far! I'm fairly happy with the result but there are a few things I'd change for next time. I'll post the pattern up soon and let you in on what I would do differently next time!

005
One of the main reasons why I've suddenly had the urge to knit is the fact that it's so incredibly cold here in north Wales. All of the sudden, we have been hit by extreme winter weather, heavy rain and strong winds. As you can see, this is a view of Snowdon with snow on the top....Uh oh, I hope we don't get any snow soon...!

006
As I'll be posting a 'weekend in food photographs' possibly tomorrow, I thought I'd give you little sneak peek of my breakfast and fresh home made smoothie! YUM!

007
Since it was Santes Dwynwen this week, I sent this hand sewn heart to my boyfriend! I miss him a lot at the moment since I haven't seen him since he went back to uni after Christmas. However, I'm going to visit him next weekend on the train!

008
I've been so extremely slow reading The Golden Compass at the moment, and am slowly failing my 'one book a month'!! Today is going to be a lazy Sunday spent reading more, watching films, working out and cleaning my bedroom (once again!!)
Once I've finished reading it I want to post a mini book review up on here!

Anyway, I hope you've all had a really lovely week and an even better weekend! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!!
