August Empties

17 Blemish Balm in light
I've almost completely ran out of this, and decided to take a picture before I slice it open! A couple of months ago, my skin used to be much clearer, and I used this instead of foundation when I was in a rush, or for lazier days! Now, I use it more as a base for my Estee Lauder double wear light foundation.  If you have blemish prone skin like mine, it doesn't give much coverage at all. If you're lucky enough to have clear skin, this is a perfect alternative if you can't be bothered wearing a heavy foundation. It has a lovely shimmer to it and is very easy to apply. However, I don't think I'll purchase this again, all due to my terrible skin at the moment!

Bourjois Re-boosting Foundation
I've had this foundation for quite a while now. I was looking for a new foundation, and grabbed this in hope it would make my skin look fresh and plumped! I won't be purchasing it again unfortunately. I usually love Bourjois, but for the price tag, it was rather disappointing, and doesn't seem to stay on my face long!

Primark Beauty 4 in 1 gentle facial cleansing wipes
Yes, it took my makeup off, but when it came to hard waterproof mascara things got a little tough! These wipes seemed drier than others. I usually buy two packs of wipes for £1 at Home Bargains, and they do the job a lot better than these! As they were a last minute purchase because I was in desperate need of something to take my makeup off, I won't be buying them again in a hurry!

VO5 Miracle Mist
I always always use this on my wet hair before blow drying or styling. It smells really nice, it's easy to apply (of course!) and it does actually give you rather soft hair.
Previously, I've used the Andew Collinge heat protection spray, which I really loved. But this one is just as nice, well, nice enough to buy a second bottle! The only down side is the fact it can make my hair feel rather greasy quicker than usual. Because I don't want to over wash and style my hair, I use Tresemme dry shampoo on the second day!

VO5 Nourish Me Truly
This used to be the shampoo I used all the time. It was often on offer wherever I went, which is always a plus! I love the smell of this shampoo, it did leave my hair rather soft. However, my hair got used to this shampoo, and by the end it got greasy quickly. I've now been advised by my hairdresser to invest in salon quality shampoos and conditioners which I briefly mentioned a while ago! I'll be letting you know how I've got on with them soon.

Sebastian Hydre Shampoo
This was one of the salon quality shampoos I tried out. It made my hair feel a little bit better than high street products. It was stronger, and designed for giving your hair a moisture boost. I went through two bottles before switching to the Wella SP range as it was just not quite strong enough for me. My hair needs a lot of moisture due to dye and heat styling...
Also, if you're using it alone without the matching conditioner, you can't really see the effect it has on your hair. I happened to use it along with the conditioner, but again, the products weren't quite strong enough to give me the amount of moisture I needed back in my hair.

Amor Amor by Cacharel
This is one of my absolute favourite perfumes! This one in particular was a Christmas gift in a box along with some body lotion! It's such a lovely perfume and very fruity. It's one of those perfumes I'll keep on buying for years to come, or just ask Santa for each year! If you're really into your fruity, feminine perfumes and you haven't tried this one out yet, I highly recommend you do!

  1. Ooo hello! Might I say your blog is looking fantastic. Love the pic of you in the Welcome box =)

I love fruity perfumes, they're my favorite! I also love light floral scents. I've got Daisy by Marc Jacobs at the mo, it's divine. I used to use those VO5 shampoos too and like yours, my hair became greasy after a while. I still haven't settled on one. Using Loreal Elvive at the mo, the pink one. It's a light formula so it makes my hair feel lighter but still gets greasy too quick. Hmm maybe I'm just a greaseball inside that's dying to get out haha!

Missed your blog! I just love your photos and how organised it is.
